OLD BUSINESS:

  1. New Membership Packets: Ed Stubblefield announced that the new membership packets would be mailed to the new members and will include an updated membership roster, constitution, bylaws, and awards.

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Website Survey Results: Julie Westlund went over the results of the MCUCSA Website Survey conducted recently of members. (See attached).

  2. MCUCSA Website: Cynthia Favre asked the membership if we want a MCUCSA website? Ginger Kaufman shared a handout on information regarding the current website as well as her recommendations of what the site could be used for (see attached). Questions surfaced including who will update the website? Do we want to spend time and energy for 65 members? What do we want us (MCUCSA) to be? Are we an internal or external organization? We currently use the listserv to inform our members. Are we going to get the "bang for the buck?" Suggestions included putting the website on one campus server and then having that campus in charge of editing it. Cynthia moved to discontinue the MCUCSA website and Sheila Risacher seconded it. Discussion: put item on the next meeting agenda and discuss it more in terms of long term planning including mission and vision statements and who we are. Vickie Decker called for the question. The question was challenged and voted down. Discussion continued. Again Vickie Decker called for the question. A vote was taken and motion did not carry.

Vickie Decker moved to defer any more discussion until MCUCSA can set up a process to reexamine the mission, vision, and do some strategic planning. Motion seconded by Sheila Risacher. Discussion: recommend pulling website or update the information; bring someone in to help to do mission, vision and strategic planning; Executive Board appoint a committee to make recommendations. Vote was taken and motion carried. To move forward the Executive Committee will hold a special meeting on December 6.

  3. JobPost URL: Discussion was held on changing the JobPost, Ed/Post, InternPost URL from (http://tigger.stcloudstate.edu/~jobpost_web/) to something easier to remember and repeat for marketing purposes. Example: MNJobPost.Com. Ann Ness recommended using .org instead of .com. Questions included "Do we need a new website?" "Does everyone who has people, who inquire about a state job posting website, send them to their college/university website and then follow the links to the JobPosts?

Ginger Kaufman moved to table the discussion until the Executive Committee meets. Pam Matti seconded the motion. Motion carried.
